Dread Bass Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Dont no if this has been asked before but thought it wud be fun. If you could only have one effect what would it be? I think id go for either my tone factor mule or my marshall guvnor reissue as its very flexible. No multi effects thats cheating Quote
ahpook Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 (edited) hmm...good question ! from my current effects, it'd be my digitech bad monkey overdrive Edited April 20, 2008 by ahpook Quote
Dread Bass Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Make and model? any in particular? Quote
ped Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I love the reverb on the XT pro but that counts as cheating, so I had a Boss RV-5 for a while which did the job just as well :0) Quote
queenofthedepths Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Some sort of delay I think - at the moment I use an ME-50B so I've yet to [s]waste loads of money on individual units[/s] experience the world of having one effect per unit! However I do own a Crybaby bass wah which I enjoy Quote
BassBalls Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I reckon my Boss DD-20 delay. Its quality, does everything i want really. Quote
Dread Bass Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 got to love the hyper fuzz a mainstay on my board. i love it nothing like it. Not a pedal i use alot in our set but when i do EVERYBODY knows it. Quote
OldGit Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I'm rather taken with my new Ibanez Weeping Demon wah .. Quote
cheddatom Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Only one effect to play with at home? Deffinitely digital delay - My marshall echohead would do the trick, but something like a DD20 or DL4 would be more fun. Only one effect to gig with? I suppose it depends what i'm playing. I really can't live without overdrive, but then I can't live without digital delay! I'll just build them into my bass and then I won't need any pedals Quote
clauster Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Any decent compressor - I just love that squish! Quote

Kev Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 brilliant haha itd have to be some sort of overdrive for sure Quote
Kiwi Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 If compression was already on the amp, a pitch shifter. That would give me a detune chorus and octaves. Quote
Dread Bass Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008
multi effect me thinks
But that would be cheating now wouldnt it Quote
BigRedX Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Delay with LFO modulation. That gives you echos, pseudo reverb, chorus and flange. Quote
The Funk Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Original Mu-tron III. As good as some of my other effects are, I could happily get by with just this. Quote
CPBass Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 My wonderful MXR Phase 90....sublime :brow: :brow: Quote
