Mr. Foxen Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Have any idea how this compares to the normal Pi? Lookin to save some pedal board/ backpack space.
angelagnostic Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Not the same sound. Good though - I don't know why there have been so many for sale recently on t'board. I have had USA and Russian Muffs and I reckon the Little Big Muff is a better sound, sort of smoother but still insane when pushed. It suits me certainly.
Kev Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 its classed as somewere inbetween a black russian and the us reissue
Dubs Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I find the LBM to give a much smoother fuzz with more harmonic richness than either the russian (black) or american big muffs. I use one with a black russian big muff and probably use it more than any other fuzz I've got - and I've got a few cos I'm still looking for 'my sound'. I cant recommend this more for the money, even brand new at £45ish its a steal. I auditioned this a few months ago in a shop lined up against £120+ fuzz effects and it was the one that sounded the best. Forget the expensive bass specific fuzz pedals that are out there (no names mentioned cos there are a few for sale on this forum) and get one of these.
sk8 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 (edited) LBM doesn't have the lowend loss either and if i din't have a Pickle Pie B on its way i'd buy it back! Edited April 23, 2008 by sk8
