DirkThrust Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Agree about the name but like the music. Fairly typical stuff from the most talented ex-member of Genesis Quote
visog Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Not as well produced as Fly from Here. Some of the songs sounds a bit demo'y... But there's some nice harmonies and playing here and there. And some of the songs have stuck in my head. Check the previews on Amazon before buying as Yes/Fish Out of Water/Genesis it ain't! My theory is that Squire plays differently with Steve Howe who gives him loads of sonic space. Trevor Rabin's power chording constrained him to basic rock playing behind the power-chords. Steve Hackett is somewhere in the middle. So not classic Squire but good playing and singing none the less. Quote
Clarky Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Reminds me a bit of UK (the band, as in 'In the dead of night'). Quote
Stacker Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 That first track wouldn't sound out of place in the '80s. I'll pass, thanks. Quote
