simonc61
I don't know if it's possible but is there any way for the BC owners/developers to add a 'like' button to posts? There are so many gems of posts on here it seems a travesty not to have one
charic
There was one but it got voted out
BigRedX
There used to be one. There was a vote and it was removed. IMO a "like" button is pointless without a "dislike" button too.
charic
You can do this though. wateroftyne
I... errr... liked the 'like' button. The dislike button was the downfall of it, though. What's the point of disliking something without saying why? It's not very useful.
krysh
I hate the like button. people tend to -instead of saying something or replying to a message- just click without communicating. what sense does something like this make here? I f you like a thread bookmark/follow it...

paul h
I liked the like button. A dislike button is a rubbish idea. If you don't like something...do nothing. Easy.

chris_b
I didn't like the system when it was first proposed. But a lot of people seem to communicate when they agree but won't get into the arguments, so a "dislike" button would probably be used more than a like button. I think I'm converted to the like /dislike buttons. Maybe a 6 month trial would be a good idea.

[/quote] The amount of screen real estate taken up by someone quoting a post they like and putting 'Like' or '^^^ This' or 'Spot on mate', especially if they have a big sig like yours, makes reading long threads a bit tiresome sometimes. I liked the LIKE button. I thought it was an efficient way of nodding assent, like Wot is saying.
Happy Jack
While we're at it, can we have a "Friend" option, and maybe some way of showing your "Mood". And how about a "Wall" where we can all post useless, self-important nonsense. Then we can go public and float the site for megabucks on the NYSE.
