Hagar Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) I bought this excellent bass a couple of months ago from Pete Young and it's only been used for practice at home since then. I've just been landed with a collosal vet's bill (pets, who'd ave'em?) so I'm reluctantly selling it to raise some funds. It was originally custom built for oldslapper at a cost of £600, and I can do no better than show his comments: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 It's the bass seen in Paul Rose's Prosebass signature here on basschat, and on his funnbass blog. Wrinklygit has also reviewed it in the bass reviews section. The bass is very lightweight and compact for a 34" scale and the twin humbuckers give a great sound. The body is Spanish Cedar, Neck is Maple and the board is Rosewood. Twin volume controls with push-pull coil tap. The neck is quickly and easily removed/reattached for travel. The head fitting and individual bridge tuners are very high quality, solid brass German ABM hardware. The tuners currently retail at £72 each! The nut is a Warwick brass 'Justanut'. Double ball end strings can be used as well as normal type. Comes with an unused Madarozzo padded gig bag, a brand new Planet Waves 3 metre lead, and a brand new Leathergraft extrawide leather/neoprene strap. For a quick sale I'd accept £265 including Interparcel/UPS insured delivery. NB, the odd pattern on the chromed brass head fitting is a reflection. The finish is perfect. Edited June 9, 2012 by Hagar

wrinkleygit Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 this put me back into headless mode, massive sound for a passive bass, great fun & the parts alone are worth more than the asking price bump, mikeb
