KiOgon
I bought a de-fretted P neck for a project but it doesn't fit the body, so I'm thinking of getting it re-fretted for another. Is there anybody here that can do - or know someone? Cheerz, John Edited June 16, 2012 by KiOgon
brensabre79
Bernie Goodfellow in Brighton does a fine refret. Under £100 I think, as long as it doesn't need a refin (Maple?), but probably a bit too much ££s for a project bass.
KiOgon
Cheerz - yes I was hoping to get a 'cheaper' job, not a pro & it's a r/w board BTW, no refin required.
BigRedX
Having played around (badly) with fretting myself, the amount of time, skill, tools and materials required to do a good job, £100 sounds like an absolute bargain to me.
KiOgon
Perhaps I'll send it back to Fender, from the vid's I've seen it takes them about 1or2 minutes to do Having the right tools would certainly help Yes I'd be quite prepared to pay £100 on a bass that was of any value, but not for a beater
