deaver
All lovely stuff. Surprises as always - this time courtesy of Thor's Rickenbacker & Briefcase. As ever good to put names to faces and Jo's talk was a delight.
BottomE
It truly was a great event. Thanks so much to the organisers - slapper and yorkie. What struck me apart from all the lovely gear was what thoroughly nice people you all are and how easy it was to schmooz around the room and try out bits and pieces. I got some pics that i'll load up when i get a minute. Thank you all. Jerry
apa
+1 on the chilled easy atmos. One thing I did notice is there was a distinct sway towards Jazzes. Lots of those but only 2 P's from what I could see. Interesting since they are supposed to be 'The' Bass A
Mornats
Much thanks for organising this, it was good to see everyone and have a play on some fantastic basses. Apa's bitsa's were superb as were Pinball's Sandbergs - in particular the trashed one (reliced or whatever they call a 900 euro bodge job lol). Pinball
As others have said, thanks for organisers and to you all for bringing such fine gear. So much there to like, I loved some of the home builds and bitzas. All of the instruments I tried were excellent, which just re-enforced to me how each guitar is an individual and that you have to look further than the name tag. There were many that I would love to have played more. It would be nice to finish up with a list of who brought which instruments.

Dom in Dorset
Yes, thanks again to those who did the hard work of organizing this. You can't have too many jazz basses, or can you? (Hello Fremsley, watch out I think Ivor has put the chip pan on!)
yorks5stringer
Thanks to all who attended and to John (oldslapper) for being "there" for me.... Just picking up on the earlier post bash comments.. agreed, you can never have too many Jazz Basses! Oh, and big thanks to Jo Burt who came along, gave an entertaining talk and stayed and chatted with most of those present ( if not all) about their Basses. Next year I'll see about getting Jeff Berlin...! There will be more photos posted in the fullness of time I believe? D.I. Joe
Great stuff today guys! Very informative session from Jo, and it was great to meet everyone and try out some interesting gear - I was most impressed by the Sandbergs! I do think that I should have brought my Precision along to try and even the numbers though! Thanks for organising it guys, hopefully we'll have another meet in the not-to-distant future! Quit simple really. I mean how difficult can it be!! Until you actually try it then what you expect to happen happens. As soon as you move your finger you kill the harmonic. It be magic A
