Signatures

Spotted a recent thread that mentioned how to turn off posters signatures but now I want to switch them back on again (I am a lot more nosey than I thought ) but I cannot find the initial thread or figure out how to turn them back on!
A little help please?

Go to settings in your control panel, click on manage my prefs

I would like to take this opportunity to thank whoever invented the individual signature ignore button on the right there. I don't mind signatures in general as they can be quite humorous and interesting, just the life story ones which take up half the page are irritating to say the least. Now I just turn off the ones I don't like. Thank you, mysterious programmer, thank you so much.

Can the signature ignore button be extended to mods and admins? The "interests" field below the users' avatars would be another useful one to block.
