Withdrawn Fender Musicmaster 1971 £400

This is owned by a guitarist i play with and I said i would put it on here before he tries the dreaded ebay.

The bass is from 1971 as borne out by the date on the neck and the serial number. It looks good in the pictures but is not perfect as it was fitted with a precision type pick-up, the scratchplate changed and the paint stripped. I sourced a repro pick-up and scratchplate from the States and had it re-sprayed in the original black but, sadly, it is possible to see the repaired area where the precision pick-up was outside the area the scratchplate covers. The neck is straight, there's little fret wear and it plays nicely. No case - just a cheapo gig bag.
