Right!
having got so far with a 'bass for dummies' book, i feel like i need some proper tuition. can someone please reccomend a teacher in or around the Bristol area.

I actually need a teacher around Bristol as well. Looking for a teacher who can teach slap ala mark king :) I know of none.

Drum Bank Music Guitar Centre has 3 specialist bass tutors....

although the fees have gone up since (& not changed on the website)
£13.50 per half-hour or 6 lessons for £72
