The new RBX270J is based on an ergonomic body of solid alder formed with wide cutouts for greater comfort and playability. A sleek rosewood on maple neck, fitted with 24 frets, offers a playing surface built for maximum speed. The split-style and J-style pickups are fed through a balance control, for mixing the signals from the two pickups, then master tone and volume controls. The RBX270 delivers serious performance with both power and punch. The RBX270J is perfect for bass players seeking modern features at an affordable price. Expanding on the success of the RBX260, Yamaha has added several improvements including an additional pickup, side mount guitar jack, black headstock, and several exciting new finishes. The RBX270J is a lot of bass at a really keen price. Kongo
These are real great basses. I had one in natural, modded it then sold it (may appear around here some day)...wish I didn't but had to. Was homage to my RBX170, my first ever bass. You can do anything on these a 4-string can. P/J pup setup, 24 frets...These ones come with a pan pot instead of dual volume...what more do you want? I learned everything on mine from RATM in the beginning days to Victor Wooten (sorry to bring up the name). £140 plus post...I'd recommend this to players of any skill level. :-)
falcodub
£140 including post to Basschatters don't forget! And agreed, its a very good bass for the budget, plays well, barely used, just my clumsyness that has marked the back!
