mikeh
Since I joined BW back in the Pre FBI days I've been through a couple of basses, here are some pics of my Favs. This was the bass I owned when I first joined BW I later saved and bought a Euro LX Then sold the Pro series and bought a Status Energy Convinced I loved the graphite tone I swapped the Euro LX for a Kingbass I then wanted something a bit more old school so the Energy went and I bought probably one of the best P's out there I soon realised that the Kingbass wasnt for me. So swapped it for a lovely Ray I then!!!! wanted a one bass does all, so sold both and bought a new MM Jazz THEN thought I wanted a 5 string so swapped for a Lakland 5501
mikeh
I then wanted to go back to 4 strings so swapped for a Lakland JO 4 That bass only lasted a week, I really didnt like the neck, so traded for a P Delux At this point I had become really bored with playing so to challenge my self swapped for a 6 string. After a few months I found that if I played for long periods I started to get cramps up my arm, I think due to the extra stretching with the 35" scae neck and 6 string board. So sold this on ebay and have now bought this off Redd ATM I coudnt be happier with the bass, fantastic neck and the first bass I've bought that I didnt need to alter the action to my taste. So thanks to Andy he's a top bloke and I'll keep my eyes peeled for that 5 string thumb!!??
peted
Wow! That's a super-rare Warwick Streamer you've got there. A wenge neck and some great flame maple too. I'm sure it sounds lovely.

I've only really played through my PX3B and headphones and for a short time today @ low volume through my rig, but early indications are GOOD!!! Roll on Tuesday when I'll be able to try it at decent volume.
EdwardHimself
i know sum1 who has a 5 string version of the first bass pictured, actually it's just a 4 string with an unesicarially wide neck and strings far too close together and to the right, y'see the b string isn't on it and the bridge saddle for it is bust. As is usually the case with the person in question's basses...

mikeh
good to see you back mike
Cheers Bassmonster,
I like your family tree mike! That's quite a bass family you've had/got!
I used to get alot of stick (along with a few others) for changing gear often, but I'm quite happy as I've had the chance to own some rather nice basses. Plus I now think I know what I like!!! The Warwick has to be a keeper, so its just buying a few others that i want. The Rig Im VERY happy with, tons of headroom, with incredible lowend for a couple of 1x12". The only thing I would do is change the cabs if and when I can afford an Epi UL310. mikeh
Cheers Garry and Luke, I really wanted a Ray or Sterling after trying Alans, still got them both here aswell!!! And I was watching 4 Rays and a Sterling, all of which ended in my Price range. But when I saw the Warwick on Ebay is was like Bow Chicca Wow Wow. And its the first bit of bass gear I've bought since I caught SAS!!!
acidbass
Great to see the change of basses over the years - I too remember the days when you had the Spectors! A lovely selection of basses nonetheless, and now that you have the benefit of retrospect you'll be able to give us lads a lot more recommendations than your average BCer I'm sure! Great porn, and good to see you around again mate, Danny
niceguyhomer
I just played this bass and it's a real beauty. Mike, I think this one's the best you've had in the time I've known you and if you don't mind, I'm gonna copy your anthology idea when I have two days spare to do the post! mikeh
Cheers mate, and I have to agree this is THE best bass I've (so far!! ) owned. If you're going to so the same thread, you may as well use the spector pro series and status energy pics!!!
Rayman
Glad you've found a keeper mike, I think me and Alan have found ours too finally.
