WalMan
FYI, if anyone is interested in getting some idea of what I can offer for a workshop you can visit www.markjwgraham.co.uk I've also got a growing blog at www.markjwgraham.co.uk/blog that also has clips of issues you might recognise in yourself and how we can address them. [/schpiel]
Looks interesting. Looked at your site and I foresee one fatal flaw for me
all the notes are there with the innate tone of your voice
Trouble is the innate tone of my voice is sh1te Joking aside I shall be up for this. Things like:

ideas to hit pitch first time. Always think I hit the note but listening back I often feel I may be slightly out or waver
getting a better tone, if that's possible.
I have got to the point where I realise that I need to sing out strong, because standing off and not having the courage to push it out (as it were) just sounds worse, but compared to my main bands vocalist my own b/vox always tend to not have the depth.
Thanks for the honesty/self-deprecation A common misconception is that some people will just never have good tone. That's an utter crock. Our bodies are all different so we all have our own unique tone, and yes some people achieve good tone the first time they try to sing. BUT! with the right exercises, great tone is no great secret... get the voice working properly, and great tone follows. Have a read of the following to see what I mean: The ‘Engine’ of the Voice: Part 1 The ‘Engine’ of the Voice: Part 2 The ‘Engine’ of the Voice: Part 3 <-- this one has clips, but makes most sense if you've at least perused the earlier ones. TomKent
I did a workshop last time, think it was too far out of the way for people to get to though. I'm happy enough bringing a giant stack and some basses along!

WalMan
Not volunteering for the synth workshop - as my talk would last about 30 seconds & be "I plug all this cr@p in and stand on that" but I shall bring along the bits & pieces I use in the proggy band so the bass pedals, DSI MoPho & Roland A300:
Happy Jack
I look forward to trying out those bass pedals. I'd like to bring along something a bit different too. Reckon I'l bring the Ampeg Baby Bass I got from Clarky recently.
xilddx
Very sadly, I won't be able to make this due to gig commitments I'd love to be there, and to anyone who's not been, and is a bit nervous about going for whatever reason, don't be. It's the friendliest musical gathering I've ever been to, great fun, GAS inducing, knowledge increasing, and you have total freedom to geek-watch or geek out Superbly organised too. Hope you all have a great one.

I was so looking forward to showing you my increased repetoire! I can play at least 4 notes now, lol I would definitely second what you say about going along if even if you are a bit nervous or feeling awkward for any reason. Everyone there will be lovely
Clarky
Reverse true for me (re fixture gods). Its Arsenal v Chelski and my boy is ultra-keen to go. So I'm afraid i won't be attending this BassBash. Wil have a dig around though and see if there's anything I can lob in to the charity raffle

eude
Room for one more? I live in darkest Surrey these days, well Sanderstead anyway, and so far it looks like I have the 29th of September free. I can bring along a couple of ACG basses to show off, plus a few pedals and odds and sods. I'm also going to be the proud owner of one of the prototype EAD Foundation 112 cabs very VERY soon, not soon enough of course. I'll be able to bring it along for you guys to have a go if you fancy?
