vikingdub Posted June 15, 2012 Share Posted June 15, 2012 Hi anyone else had problems with hartke ha5500 bass amp been using it through a couple of trace elliot cabs a 15" and a pair of 10" cabs but now has low end distortion on anything low register on the bass had a good look at cabs and don't think they are thwe problem would like to get amp serviced to rule that out or anyone else had the same problem contacted makers but they were pretty unhelpful as regard sending a spare valve would have to wait 8weeks plus cheers Ben (Outta SPace) Viking Dub Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Delberthot Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 It could be the valve, you can pick them up for less than £10 on Ebay. Just look for an 12AX7 or ECC83. You don't need anything fancy. A JJ Tesla will do the trick Is it, all the time or just with the valve preamp selected?
