Hi guys,

Up for sale is my Mayones Jabba Classic 4 in sunburst.

It's a stunning, amazing sounding instrument. The only reason Im selling is that it has a relatively chunky neck (nice shape, but a 42mm nut) for a jazz and I have small midget hands. As much as I love it, I never quite got totally comfortable with it.

Professionally setup by the Bass Gallery, Camden, it has wonderful buzz free low action.

It doesn't help that they're not a very well known brand, I've been having trouble selling my custom be4 even though most Warwick / Spector fans would love it if they got they're hands on it, Im thinking about withdrawing mine as it's too good to let go at a silly price. The market is dead at the moment, so unless you want to take a fairly big hit on value you might be waiting a while for a sale.

One thing you might want to do is try taking it up to Bass Direct and get them to do a comission sale, as they stock Mayones anyway and know what they're talking about - I was planning on doing this last year until I needed it for a recording project which has since dropped off.

I will say though, I played a Jabba before ordering my be4 and it was very nice, I came very close to ordering one of those instead and tbh now, I think I would. I'll bet yours sounds great with the Delanos in it too.

Yeah I think you're right. I've spoken to Mark already, and he's going to be handling getting a Sandberg to replace this so I'm pretty close to just doing that, or maybe dropping it in Bass Gallery Camden. These are fantastic basses and it's a shame they aren't as well known as other makes.

I reckon I'll give that a try, cheers :)

Hi

I think this is a lovely looking bass :gas: It suffers from not being a well known name. The downside is that you won't really get anything like the new value when trying to sell because its not a Fender/Warwick/MusicMan and that there aren't well known bands or musos playing them.

Would you be interested in a trade? I have a couple of things that might suit.

Jerry
