warwickhunt Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 At the time (late 80's) you could potentially get any of the Warwick line with just about any combination of pup manufacturer. EMGs were pretty standard fitment for the period but SD, Bartolini and even Alembic pups were used in Warwick basses of this period (NOT the JD I hasten to add). The 2 JD's that I have owned both had EMGs but I'd not have been taken aback to see SDs in a JD (though I've not personally ever seen a JD bass in the flesh/pic with SD pups in).
LukeFRC Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 google is my friend. typing in "warwick" into google image search also gives you a plotted history of Warwick hunt's profile pictures
Scooby Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 OK, folks. Just seen something that looks as if it may be the answer to my prayers! So, although I'm looking for £1500 cash, if someone wants to make me a quick, serious cash offer you may be surprised at the response

Emanew Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Bump for an "extraordinaire" instrument which must find its new groover..

[/quote] Thanks, Emanew! It is an "extraordinaire" instrument, but I will not insult the Warwick Thumb and resort to 'price drops' (although I expect that is what many people are waiting for!!). It is a great price for a great bass.
Scooby Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Just about to put this beauty into its case but thought I'd give someone a last opportunity to make an offer on the Thumb. I will consider a part exchange deal - thanks
