Just scooped this up for 49 quid

Saw it on ebay, that seller who was selling a few jap crap basses, mainly precisions, anyways black on maple and it looks nice, Ive never had a jap crap bass (or korean as could well be the case with this one) but I thought not bad for 50 quid.



I know his stuff for sale was flagged up in the ebay links section, did anyone else here pick up anything else he was selling?

what is it and is it 34" scale?

Its only an old Hondo Fame 830 bass from the 1980's I think, Its a 20 fret 34' scale neck as far as I'm aware.

I knew without opening the thread what this was I was nosing at the Columbus basses but they got bid on and I didn't want them that desperately....

Yeah I had initially had my eye on the columbus precision with the maple neck that looked nice and played in, but the more I looked at the balck maple hondo I thought I'd have a bid on it, turned out I was the only bidder

Does anyone know how much the others went for? I didnt put them on my watch list so I dont know. Would be interesting to find out.

The jazz was the one i wanted, but you could see the holes were the covers had been removed, and I have already got one!! That one went for £75. The cream precision went for £49.99. The rather tatty Kay type one didn't sell, but the one in better condition was £49.99.

There's a guy with a Columbus Les Paul with a £199 BIN. He obviously hasn't looked at prior listings... I've had 3 and never paid more than £50.
