To me it's a guy who came to a garage-sale-sorta-event and found a bass guitar with somewhat familiar name 'Fender' on it, so he bought it to sell to a highest bidder.
Or at least I hope so.

I kinda like this a bit slab body (TeleBass!), yet the neck wood disturbs me, looks a bit like beech.
