Lewk Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I think this is the most beautiful bass ive ever seen... unfortunatley i dont think it would be versatile enough... http://www.guitarvillage.co.uk/productdetail.aspx?pid=903 can you think of any other basses like that? i know alembic and status are kind of that shape but thats silly money Quote
Roland Rock Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Google 'Brian May Bass', that's quite close. Also have a look at other Gibsons, such as Grabber and Ripper Quote
Jones_Stuff Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Lovely, would prefer a different pickup to the mudbucker though. Quote
grunge666 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 As soon as I saw that it reminded me of an old guitarists Gordon Smith GS2. Not sure if there's a bass equivalent by Mr Smith? Quote

Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Lovely looking Gibson. I have a bass a similar shape on ebay at the moment - It isn't quite as understated as the Gibson though. Here it is with its twin: Quote
Conan Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012
I think this is the most beautiful bass ive ever seen...
Interesting... I think it's hideous and looks half-finished! Just goes to show that everyone is different. Quote
neepheid Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Those replacement Schaller M4S tuners look so out of place and gigantic with reference to the headstock shape/size. There would have been banjo tuners (buttons at the back of the headstock) on this initially. Something a bit smaller (like a Gotoh GB7 size) would have been so much better, but I suppose it depends on when the mod was made. Quote
