phil.i.stein
o.k., i got rid of my Whammy, as it took up too much real estate on my board, and have ordered a new Boss PS-6 'Harmonist' to replace it. but, the only Bass vid i could find on YT was, err.. 'unhelpful' (that's me being diplomatic, for a change ) the Harmonist i've ordered came in at around the £100 mark, so i figured i could shift it on the 'bay if it didn't work out, as they're usually around £130. it'll take an expression pedal, but some functions can be used with the on switch, like the s-bend. i understand that the tracking can be a bit glitchy, but tbh, the Whammy wasn't exactly great for that either. has anyone here tried one out yet ? i'd be interested in your thoughts, if so. ta. dudewheresmybass
I've been using the ps6 for whammy drops (-2 oct) for about two years now. It really makes a great sound. The chorus mode on it is pretty good too! The exp in is quite fun too. I use that with guitar where it fades the harmonies in over the original note. I paid £125 new when it came out and I don't regret a penny!
