MacDaddy
When I try to sign in to Basschat on my Kindle, the sign in link takes me to a page with a list of members. Is this a Kindle problem or can Basschat resolve? ta.
charic
I think the site is a little too advanced for the kindle browser. I've never managed it myself either.

charic
Yeah exactly the same for me. I find the phone far more effective
KiOgon
Nothing to do with Kindle - but I think there's something strange about the members list, every time I've used Personal Message, if I then click on the 'View New Content' button it always takes me to the Members List, latest members, until I click View New Content a second time. That's on my PC, Chrome, Windows XP & Laptop with Vista.
MacDaddy
best let one of the techie mods know. i'll send a pm.
charic
I think there's a "basic" version of the site which may work better..

The 'View new content' button shows you the new content for whichever of the tabs you're in at the time. Personal messages are (rightly or wrongly) part of the 'Members' tab, so when you press the 'View new content' button when you're in PMs, it shows you new member activity. Similarly, if you press it in 'Calendar', you'll see new calendar activity. I'm just clarifying how it's designed to work - I'm not saying I like it. KiOgon
Cheerz WOT - I can see that now! thanks for explaining When in PMs the Members tag is highlighted as you say, I've never noticed that before, but when I press View New Content from PMs & get the Members list, the Members tag is not highlighted so next press & it reverts to Forums it seems. WalMan
That would explain my problem trying to use my Kindle to browse yesterday then. Thought it might be easier than the minute Blackberry screen that is always a bit of a trial to login with anyway.
Hamster
I don't think the forum software providers are going to make it more Kindle friendly, but I think the Kindle browser will get better as it's developed.

Bilbo
I am finding it so easy to touch the wrong button on the screen of the Kindle. WHen links are close together as they care on BC, it is easy to find yourself going places you hadn't indended (if I open the bloody tc electronics ad again, it's going out the 'kin window)
