Since getting my Kinal 5 this just doesn't get a look in so it's up for grabs.

Pre-empting the questions about the SS1 label, this is the model Warwick used prior to developing the LX. Consequently, it has the maple neck of a modern SS1, but it's BO instead of NT. The body is Cherry which seems to help give a little extra warmth when compared to the usual maple body.

Tone - very punchy with a nice warmth whilst retaining the typical Warwick growl.

Condition - very good. No specific bashes or dings that I can see although the hardwear is tarnished in places, particularly on the bridge pieces.

Electronics - It's an all MEC affair. There's some crackle on the volume pot which has appeared recently, probably due to limited use. A bit of lube should help resolve this.

Price - Looking for £[s]625 [/s] £585 please

Trades - no really interested in trades, but might be tempted by a nice P bass, Lakland BG or a 6 string.

Pictures - struggling to upload them at the moment so I hope Josh won't mind me pointing you in the direction of his ad:

Thanks for looking and please get in touch with any questions....

Yes, £600 to much, i can forward you a payment of £25 now to take it off your hands!? ;)

On a serious note Andy...i picked up my standard Streamer LX several weeks ago for £545.

I am nowhere near a Warwick expert, but, their is the "rarity" value that may come into play regarding this model...it might be worth pinging a PM to warwickhunt or Markuswarwick, they may be able to help, or you could even try the Warwick forum to get a better evaluation!

You may even be undercutting yourself at the price you have listed it for!.

i would love a bass like this but cannot afford one atm. i think you may want to get some pics up that would really help. and remind people that if there local they are welcome to play it (if you want them too).

I've tried on several occasions to load some pics, but four some reason it just doesn't work. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I'm more than happy for folks to pop round to have play it if they want. Free tea and coffee available on request!

Thanks for your suggestions and feedback. All gratefully received.

seems like a nice guy peeps. and the bass will be lovely as well being a old warwick so get your hands in your pockets, if i had the extra money this would have been mine.

Perhaps there is concern about the whole difference in body wood colour? Better pics would certainly help you, have you tried uploading by uploading them on here and attaching them to the post, or on an external website? FWIW, if i had the cash i would buy it at that price.

Thanks Kev. I've tried to do it directly into the post but it just keeps saying that the upload failed. Is there a better way to do it?

If anybody has a streamer stage 1 near me (rotherham south Yorkshire) I could play I may be able to get the money together for this bass if they play like I remember.

I would love to give it a try as my mum and dad has said they would give me a little extra money towards a new bass as a gift for finishing college and going on to university. Maybe you could visit your parents one day and bring that bass along.
