chrkelly
Stick with them! They're amazing strings. I use a c ext set in heavy gauge. Beautiful sound & easy to play. They sounded really unbalanced at first but after a month of abuse they've evened out great.
Damo200
I second Chris. The Kaplans are louder and more focussed than Belcantos.

Ian Davies
Are the kaplan strings light, medium or heavy gauge? Thanks.
marvin spangles
Hi Ian The Kaplan's are medium. For all intents and purposes practically unused.
Ian Davies
Thanks for your reply, how do they compare to Belcantos in terms of string tension and thickness?
marvin spangles
They are slightly thinner and higher in tension. AFAIK . Not sure what you want them for Ian. I would recommend them for classical as they are a dream to bow but not jazz at least not on my bass. There's a review thread just started over on TB you might get more information there.
