Have you played a Fortress at all Karl? I've got one you could try - different pickups, but you'd get the feel of it.

Be aware that there is the rarer Fortress Flashback with the 2-Tek bridge, this one is slightly later than the rarest model.

I really liked the look of these back in the day and I went to Sound Control (or perhaps McCormacks?) in Glasgow. Tried one out (for about 2 hours I think), was about 40 quid short on cash. Didn't put a deposit in, went back next day and it was gone.
Only one I have ever seen in the flesh. Sounded fantastic and looked fantasic.
If I hadn't agreed to buy a Bob Glaub an hour before I had seen this, I would just have got it, sod "investment".
Bet there isn't another one along in a minute
