olivetti Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 HI all, Just received brand new dingwall from usa (ab 2),however it came parcelled up in gig bag, with no instructions, guides, tools etc Just wondered if anyone receiving a new dingwall, got any literature with theres. I've mailed both the suppliers and dingwall, but yet to get reply thanks in advance Gary Quote
thodrik Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Some basses come with instructions/allen keys etc, some do not. I'm guessing that Dingwall have a contact telephone number for sales/warranty etc.... https://www.dingwallguitars.com/contact/ Found it in 30 seconds. You should be able to find out if they forgot to include something in your order. Good luck and enjoy your (probably awesome) bass. Quote
Bigwan Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Asking on the Dingwall forum might be a good idea too. Quote
RhysP Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 You might also want to find out from Dingwall if your bass is covered by the USA warranty in this country - it might not be. Quote
Al Heeley Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 most documentation is available online these days. Dingwall have a few pdf guides to download, eg: http://www.dingwallguitars.com/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2010/09/Z3-control-layout-Glock.pdf I spent £804 last year on a new Japanese made Geddy Lee Jazz Bass and it didn't even come with a book telling me how to play bass. Also I had to haggle with the store owner to get me a rudimentary gig bag for it. Quote
johnbassdoherty Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I got my ABII and it came with dingwall gig bag and 5 allen keys (all colour coded) and a small booklet explaning how the different control layouts on all the dingwall range works (except combustion) and it all came in a clear pouch with my basses serial number, model and colour/finnish on it, i would contact the shop where you bought the bass in case they took it out by mistake, they should send it on to you, as for Sheldon and crew you wont get a better after sales service, i have had first hand experence there, and if that all fails pm me i could copy the booklet for you, but the allen keys can be bought here http://www.dingwallguitars.com/purchase/shop/category/accessories/ Quote

Bobthedog Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Just look on the Dingwall website. It has plans of the various controls and what they do. Quote
