pobrien_ie Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Great article. Stumbled upon this myself a few months ago when I was trying to find out who played bass on Jackson 5's I'll Be There. Never did find the answer!! Quote
Musicman20 Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Alex Al is fabulous on bass. Ive seen YouTube clips of him demoing Musicman basses and watched him on the rehearsals for the tour that unfortunately never took place. Quote
chris_b Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 I've been listening again to the MJ tracks listed in the article. I find knowing who is playing bass now makes a difference to how I'm now hearing the numbers. I'll Be There sounds too clear to be JJ or Bob Babbitt and doesn't sound like Wilton Felder. How about sending an email to Motown? Quote
