Clarky Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Would help to let people know where you are based. If you are in US, then UK-based buyers need to add just over 20% for import duties on top of price of bass plus shipping. If you are in EU, then of course there is no import duty

Gwilym Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012
I'm in Hong Kong and that's no import duty or anything on top
i think you'll find that shipping from Hong Kong to the UK will incur customs duty and VAT charges, so about 23% on top of the combined declared value and cost of shipping.

Clarky Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 To help anyone reading this, if I use the current US$/@ rate of 1.55 and include the 23% duty mentioned above it works out at £4,360 shipped

kurcatovium Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Yes, customs duty and VAT will always be there when importing something from outside of EU...
