Only selling this as I needed a sunburst one for a tribute band otherwise I would have kept it as it plays soooo well and has a lovely neck on it. It was made at the corona plant 2007/2008 according to a fender serial dater website and is in flat black with a tort scratchplate( I still have the original white one that was on there from new. It is in great condition with the exception of a couple of tiny dings that I have pictured(the coin in the pic is a 5p piece) and has Fender straplocks fitted( again I have the original strap pins) I am including the gator case with it and fender cloth. The case was at some point leant up a radiator so it has a weird misshapen bit on one side where it melted!!! (no guitarn was in the case at the time!) These HW1's really are a cracking bass and well made unlike the MIM i initially went for but it was terrible build quality( waits for the flood of abuse for slating the MIM hehe!) Looking for £400 collected or can arrange courier for approx another tenner. cheers.

ARRRRRRRRRGH !!!!!!!!!!

This is so the wrong time for me to look at these pics this "for sale / in need of a good home" bass ... I've been bass-less since yesterday and will be until tomorrow and I'm WEAK. :dash1:

Just imagine how perfect this P would look with this J ...

I have a strange variant of GAS where a think I have a deficiency of black Fender basses. I must stop looking at them on here.

DL - I'm with you on this. They are just too seductive ... ;)

Oooph...this is a beauty.

I've got a HW1 Precision in a Honey Blonde...it's a beauty. Don't really need another one...but this would look lovely beside it!!!

Hmm...I hope this sells soon!

What's the nut width on this, please? Also, how deep is the neck front-to-back? - is it the same neck profile as the current MIA Precision?

Hi Steve,

Will measure tonight when I get it from work unless one of the good people on here have that info to hand ;)

Hi Steve,

the nut width is approx 43mm(according to Fender it's 41.3mm) and the neck is about 25mm front to back at the first fret. Not sure if it's the same as a MIA as I haven't any info on them. They are pretty chunky but then again I've been using an Ibanez of late so it does feel chunky compared to that!

Have a free "I want a honey blonde one" type of bump :-)

Cheers ;) good luck with that, definitely a cracking bass even to the point where I have bought a sunburst one of them!

Thanks for these measurements. I'm fairly sure these are the same as the MIA P I sold in favour of a 62 reissue, in which case, I shall pass. Can't see this hanging about for long.

Cheers Steve,

thought the two necks would be similar as they're both american made.
