SeeJay
Hi all, greetings from Belfast! By day I'm an airline pilot but at night I turn into a bassist! I play in a blues/rock covers band and we're just starting to get out and about gigging. For the gear heads among you I play an LTD Surveyor 5 string bass (lovely bass - has a great P-bass-like thump and growl) through an Ampeg PF500 head and 15" matching cab. Been playing various instruments (piano, trumpet, church organ and guitar) for years but finally gravitated to the bass about 4 years ago and am having the time of my life. Cheers, CJ
Silvia Bluejay
Welcome, CJ! You've gravitated to the best place a bassist can find online
BassTractor
Hi CJ, Welcome from an ex church organ player. Lemme get this straight: you're normally a bassist, but as the earliest rays of sunlight touch your face, you surreptitiously change into this ... monster? What a sad destiny. ;^) Enjoy the site! BottomE
Hello Did you used to fly to Oman? I was working in a band there at one of the hotels and an airline pilot would fly in some nights and do the end of the last set with us. He played trumpet and was very good. Was it you? RachAllenBand
Welcome to BC, the people here are really great. So cool you're a pilot! I love flying and wish I had become one. There's nothing quite like that first "lift" up into the air What a rush. I also like the turbulence
