leschirons
I've been offered a GB Shuttle 3.0+10T, + 10T ext cab in exchange for a bass. I have no problems with the deal value but know nothing about the GB stuff and can't find anywhere to try one. I advertised over here that I was looking for something lighter and smaller than the Markbass CMD103 I'm using and was offered this. Originally I was looking for a Promethean or a Markbass 1x12 combo. This GB seems to certainly fit the bill weight and power-wise. Anyone got any experience of them? Really appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks, Keith
stingrayPete1977
I have the 3.0 and the 6.0, the 3.0 sounds better to me!
stingrayPete1977
I bet it sounds great with 2 10's I only have one and its not a genz one I do have a Genz 12T though and its nice through that and can power my Genz 2x12T without any trouble too

Had any reliability problems with it? As I've never tried one, I'm a little concerned that it may have a particular tone that doesn't suit me. The Markbass tends to give me the sound of me & my bass if you get my drift. As long as I can get a fairly funky tone with a bit of bottom, it should be okay I guess. The weight and size thing is the real issue though so I think I'll go for it anyway. I'm keeping an Eden Nemesis 200 watt combo also just in case I get any gigs that require a little more oomph and I'll link it up with the GB 3.
stingrayPete1977
No problems so far, both of mine have 2008 as build dates on the stickers inside. Without you trying one I can't really comment on the sound, it good for me, others don't like them.

As long as I can use a 5 or 6 string with it and get a reasonably clean sound, it should be fine. I'm just looking forward to giving my back a rest. A couple of Harmony Central reviews pointed out that the bottom end was a bit of a struggle so that was my main concern really. Thanks for your input Pete. stingrayPete1977
Well it won't be the amp having problems, like I said I run my 3.0 through my 2x12 Genz cab and it powers it at gig volume, a 10 on its own is going to be limited in the same way any single 10 is but with the extension cab I'd say it will be tasty
