EssentialTension Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I think that seller has had some 'difficulties' in the past. Quote

sixdegrees Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Please excuse my dumbness, but what are the screw holes in front of the bridge for? Quote

sixdegrees Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Ah thank you. Never seen them before. I only knew of the 'foam under the bridge cover' trick and now feel suitably enlightened. Quote
KiOgon Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 That's loverly, well documented & completely original, I don't see it being anything other than "as advertised" Think I'll 'make an offer' Joe's Long - he must have been the original Red Hot Chilli Pepper Quote
Nibody Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 When I see something like this on ebay I always wonder WHY they dont put it in a specialist Auction if it's genuine. Quote
Kev Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Rosewood grain looks pretty different in that magazine picture compared to the bass picture in my eyes... Quote

Ebay's and PayPal's fees are capped and taxes at standard rate. Quote

[/quote] Coverage, simple as that. This seller sells most of his gear by other means, but uses eBay to generate the interest. New Kings Road, and Music Ground do the same thing here in the UK. eBay fee's are low on these high end stuff anyway. Specialist auction houses charge 25% +VAT. eBay charges a maximum £40. This instrument looks right to me, stunning in fact. Having said that, this seller does have a rather chequered history, or was it CAR? Quote
uke Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) Dodgy seller, gen bass! From one of the most underrated bassists! Didn't start appreciating him till a few years ago, as like many, refused to show interest in The Four Seasons as a young bassist! Till car radios got better and digital ones started chucking out a decent bit of bass and thought.. wow, some very innovative playing there. Edited July 4, 2012 by uke Quote
