artisan
hi chaps,i'm seriously thinking of trying a different pickup on my bass which i'm hoping may help to reduce my feedback problems. after searching the net the Revolution Solo seems to get pretty good reviews & is reckoned to be very feedback resistant too. i'm not sure what else to try so recomendations gratefully recieved. if all else fails i may just stick a magnetic pickup & some steel strings on my bass at least that'll kill the feedback. TPJ
IME, The Full Circle seems the best all-rounder as far as piezo's go. I've tried Bassmax (ok but didn't like the tone on my bass), BP100 (dreadful with lots of feedback), Rev Solo 2 (Best sounding pickup on my bass by far but fiddly to keep in place and a little feedback problem) and now the FC. It's been the best so far. I've thought about the switch to steel and Mag pups as I don't need the DB to sound like it does unplugged. Might be the easiest option for you. artisan
cheers Tom, i do love the sound of my bass as it is but i just can't get it loud enough for my band without it feeding back,i'm thinking that maybee mag' is the way forward for me.i'm not too worried about the sound of a mag' as i've watched a few stray cats live videos on youtube & really like the bass sound. fatback
The thing with piezos is that feedback and sound depend so much on the individual bass. Overall, the Full Circle seems to be consistently least trouble and works beautifully for me in a loud band, but it's a pricey experiment. A good mag like the Kent Armstrong will definitely sort you. Why not get a mag, and then when you're in funds try out piezos. I have both on my bass - stress free. All i'd have to do if I had a feedback prob is switch the lead over. Only disadvantage is I have to use steel strings (Spiro weichs). Not too much fun for slapping, but luckily i don't need that atm.

iiipopes
I have my Full Circle installed "upside down" (see the Fishman website). This takes some edge and quack out of the pickup and I experience no feedback issues at all.
artisan
after playing my bass last night i've decided to stick with the bassmax / super silver setup as i do get a fantastic tone with this & just get a couple of minor feedback kiling mods done to my bass. i may just stick a clicky on it at some point later though.
