throwoff
I have been offered a steal on a fretless bass, I dont actually want another fretless but the bass fretted is one of my dream basses. Who can do this? any idea of pricing?
KiOgon
Maybe easier to swap necks, what bass is it? Cheerz, John
throwoff
Warwick Corvette, I am not sure how easy it would be to get a neck! unless Warwick Official wants to hook me up!
franzbassist
Is it a lined fretless? If yes, it's an easy job, as the dots on the side of the neck will line up just fine, but if it's unlined not quite so simple as the dots will be in the "fret" position. You'll also need a new nut or a shim under the existing one. Depending where you are, The Gallery in London, Joe White in Ash Vale, Bernie Goodfellow in Brighton are three good candidates. throwoff
Thing is because it is fretless it has an ebony board (fretted are Wenge) so to actually get a fretted one with an ebony board would be a custom order
LukeFRC
When I was asking about getting my warwick refretted the gallery seemed to be the place to go, they also seemed to say that they could do warwick brass frets for no additional cost. price wasnae bad either
chris_b
Where in the SE? The Bass Gallery and Charlie Chandler would certainly do it. Approx £200 rings a bell but who knows what the prices are these days.
Bassman Steve
Graham Wheeler in Worthing is another prime candidate - excellent luthier.

OutSpoon
I can recommend Joe White - he has worked on a few of my basses - and recently fitted new block inlays to an old bass of mine. Fine luthier indeed and an all-round lovely chap!
fretmeister
Paul_C of this forum does all the work on my basses (and guitars) He's built custom instruments for me too. Send him a message!
