bigjohn Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 http://www.facebook.com/thestoneroses The Stone Roses are asking everyone who attended their show at Heaton Park on Friday June 29 to help in the search for Christopher Brahney, 22, who has gone missing after attending the show. Please look at his photo and try to think - did you see him at the concert or afterwards? Do you know if he used the park and ride facility? Did you see him talking to anyone? The group urge everyone to help in the search for Christopher who was last seen by friends at about 11.30pm on Friday 29 June 2012, when he was at the Stone Roses concert in Heaton Park, Manchester. Christopher is white of slim build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue top, light blue shirt, maroon trousers and green wellington boots. It is now understood that Christopher may have used the Park and Ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, towards Middleton. Christopher may have been seen getting off a bus at the Park and Ride shortly before midnight on Friday 29 June 2012. Detective Chief Inspector Melani Linton, said: “Christopher’s family are clearly very worried about him and are desperate for any information relating to his whereabouts. “We believe Chris may have used the park and ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, Middleton. There were dozens of coaches in the car park with destinations all over the country. “Chris could have got on one of these coaches, did you see him or speak to him? “I would urge anyone with any information to contact the police, this could be vital to our investigation and provide some much needed answers for his family. “Christopher, if you see or hear this appeal, we would ask that you make contact with us or your family as soon as possible.” The Stone Roses said: "If you saw Christopher at the end of the evening please get in touch with Greater Manchester Police and spread the word to everyone who came to the show. Our thoughts are with Christopher's family and we all want to see him back at home safe and sound." Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7652. Quote
Monckyman Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 kinell. I`m presuming they`ve combed the park? Quote
bigjohn Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 You'da thunk if he was still in the park he'd have been found on Saturday or Sunday or in the clear up. He could be anywhere though if he got on a coach. Quote
xilddx Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Really hoping this has a good outcome. What an awful situation. Quote

BassTractor Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Worrying indeed. Very worrying. One can only hope at least he made his own decisions, and will turn up again. My kids are almost that age. That makes it even stronger. There's no news yet? Quote
lettsguitars Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Happens all the time. We only hear of the odd one. Theres a missing persons list as long as your arm. Quote
CBbass Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Very strange, hopefully he's found alive and well. Quote
lojo Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Hope the family get him back, and if not at least knowledge of where he is or what has happened. This is why I don't want my kids to age Quote
xilddx Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I can't imagine what his family and friends are going through, it's bad enough when your cat goes missing. They must be going through a living hell. Dreadful. Quote
throwoff Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I am afraid it is bad news. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-18774522 Quote
lettsguitars Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 The exact same thing happened while i was working at dmu. Young bloke, pissed up, goes missing, turns up in canal. I was gonna ask if there was any canals nearby. Weird. Never walk by unfenced canals after you've had too many. Quote
Bassman Steve Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Horribly sad. I heard the news on the radio not long ago. So sorry for his family and friends. Quote
chardbass Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Terrible news. Thoughts and condolences to his family and friends. Quote
Sean Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I can't even begin to imagine how it feels to be told that a loved one has passed like this. My thoughts are with the family. Quote
