LukeFRC Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I don't mind the relicing. The pick guard is retarded.... I just really really don't like the period correct decal thing going on, it's stupid.... actually no, that's not awful, its the custom shop logo that is! why? why? WHY? Quote
Billy Apple Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Aye, good old Shippers, up to his art again. You never know, he might have the last laugh and we'll be discussing his authentic knobs 50 years from now. Quote

waynepunkdude Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Makes me laugh they all have this line 'Its unique you will not find one like it in this condition.' Quote
yorks5stringer Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 ditto "This is a top relic project not a dodgy electric sander hatchet job" Quote
discreet Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Shippers again. I presume he must be selling these or he wouldn't keep listing 'em..? I'm not against relicing per se, but it always seems to be done very badly for some reason. May just have a go at it myself. As you know, I'm the epitome of restraint and good taste. Quote
karlfer Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I wish I'b put gloves on before looking at those photos. Even the pictures make me feel unclean. Whose turn to get the pitchforks and burning lanterns, this abomination is surely the work of Beelzebub Quote
uncle psychosis Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I actually quite like that... i've definitely seen much, much, much worse! Quote
1970 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 the ebay forum should just be renamed the 'bad relic' forum Quote
jaydentaku Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I just bought a relic bass on ebay, its light and very playable. Quote
pst62 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 They're appaling! There'll be parents up and down the country scratching their heads, while saying to their teenage son's "Wot the bloody hell have you bought that thing for?" Quote
There's only one saving grace about this & that is that he's not destroying genuine Fenders to do it. Maybe in years to come Squiers will be worth more than Fenders because he will have single handedly wiped most of them out. Edited July 5, 2012 by tazza1 Quote
