cloudburst
Got my Bongo 4HH today. OMG. Structural reinforcements to house and furniture required. All other instruments packed up into their little cases and put into the toy cupboard. Bless them. OMG. CB
LiamPodmore
THe 18v 4 band pre on these is just MONSTROUS. I keep dreaming of running a Bongo 6HH Stealth into an Orange Bass Terror 1000 and Barefaced Super 12 instead of hiring a demolition team. cocco
I had a bongo, it played like butter. To this day I wish I could have got on with the complex preamp.

Gust0o
I just wished they looked a bit more rock and roll - or maybe that's the point, you could wear them low and look like the ultimate punk

Bigwan
Had 2 (5HH that I traded for a 4HH) but I don't get on with EB necks at all, neither 4 or 5 strings. Everything else about the Bongo was cool. Great sounding basses.

Musicman20
I actually like how they look now. It took me a while, but its grown on me, a lot. Mine is going to stand out like crazy as well (all Bongo's should!) Tangerine Pearl/Black Plate/5 HH
cloudburst
I never really saw a problem with the looks. There are probably a lot of folk who haven't actually seen a Bongo in the flesh. I hadn't until mine arrived. They are actually quite small. What is it about the neck that folk don't like? I've small hands and am used to a 74 Jazz with a stick insect's manhood for a neck and I find the Bongo just fine. I'd been a bit concerned about a satin finish but was pleased to find it nice and shiny. CB
Musicman20
Personally out of all neck profiles, I find they go in this order of preference for me: Stingray/Sterling/Bongo P Bass J Bass J bass necks are a little too skinny for me, but I love the sound and aesthestics of a Jazz. Warwick 5 string necks are at the bottom. Euggh.
cloudburst
I did own a StingRay for a while in the late 80s. Prefer the feel of the Bongo in every way. But that's not to say I don't like StingRays. I do. Just I'm starting to think the Bongo is a bit of a well kept secret. CB
