Dom in Dorset Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I have a series of gigs coming up depping on bass for a local (I think slightly tongue in cheek) country band. Quote
Roland Rock Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 One of those stupid spiky coloured wigs when depping on a Glam Rock gig. Quote
gapiro Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Various costumes a la village people. Although I prefer the flight suit Quote
discreet Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 My previous band's idea of sartorial taste and restraint... Quote
crez5150 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Never wear white grease make-up when playing a black bass..... took weeks to clean Quote
Lozz196 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 (edited) Hmm, I find wearing a suit/shirt/tie at work to be the 2nd most ridiculous thing to be forced to wear. The first - "smart/casual". I refuse to go anywhere that has this dictat. But then, I also used to look like this on stage: Edited July 5, 2012 by Lozz196 Quote
jaydentaku Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 jeans and a tshirt. Though, you lot look great! Quote
EdwardHimself Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 If I could get paid for wearing things I would wear whatever you want. Quote

Dom in Dorset Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 (edited) One of the others is lending it to me , I think the label says "Hero, California ranch wear" it's made from horrible nylon and has poppers instead of buttons , my wife thinks it was made for a stripper. A google search for "western shirt" will find you plenty of similar items. Edited July 5, 2012 by Dom in Somerset Quote
Dave Vader Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I handed my wearing of shiny suits over to pnefc42 of this very forum. But I did at one point do this.... chaypup Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Not entirely sure why we wore dresses but I swear I wasn't the only one! The singer (pictured) chickened out but everyone else was trannied up too. Miss that bass too. Quote
Dom in Dorset Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 Weird thing is the guy in normal clothes looks more embarrassed! Quote

Dr.Dave Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Some tosser once said to me (you know the sort - speaks too loudly in front of his mates) 'Do you get paid to look like that?' 'Yes I do ' said I 'What's your excuse you scruffy cnut?' Ah - the joys of being bigger than someone else !!! Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 The day someone tries to dictate what I wear on stage is the day I leave the band. Remind me again why I',m not in a band.....? Quote

I'd rather wear the dress and wig than be seen dead in that white shirt/black t-shirt combo. What was he thinking? Plus, he's proving publicly that he's a miserable stuck-in-the-mud party pooper, too. Though he is a guitarist, so... what d'you expect? Edited July 5, 2012 by discreet Quote
