Pow_22
Pretty kack handed frigger here in the middle of a P bass project (arent i always). Anyway, ill soon be changing out the electrics and pups for something better. However, the pickguard is only cut out for the smaller pots and im chucking in some CTS solid shaft efforts. What is the best way to 'open up' the holes to take these bigger pots? Im assuming a round file or something?
BassBunny
I use a Dremmel, (or something pretty similar), works a treat. If you can't beg/steal/borrow one, then a round file is your best friend.
Pow_22
The more i do projects the more i realise i should invest in a dremel. Might be time haha. Cheers for the reply
Dave Vader
I once opened up the holes with a big screwdriver and a hammer. It worked, but it shouldn't have. Round file every time (or a round knife sharpener that gets bigger as it goes towards the shaft, which works like a reamer, it's my favourite tool sometimes).
