paul_5
I'm looking to upgrade the pups on my fretless Jazz, but am considering a MM style hum bucker instead of the bridge pickup - anybody got any experience of using a MM in the bridge position and a single coil in the neck position? Is it worth doing? I should mention that I tend to favour a 'bridge' sort of sound, with just a bit of the neck dialled in for some extra lows. LiamPodmore
Sadowsky do these, and you could also probably take a look at the Musicman HS models. I've been looking into this myself for my Squier 5 or possibly a Warwick double-buck ($$) style. Liam
paul_5
Yeah, my brother and I are doing an order from GFS in the States and I was just going to get a pair of J pups, but for round about the same money I could have a bit more of a mid peak (in theory) without relying on outboard circuitry. MoonBassAlpha
Sandberg do several in that config. If you could get to try one that should give you an idea how it might sound.
