davidak Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) This bass has been played a lot, and is worn- expect dings and scratches, rolled fingerboard.. Nothing affects playability, IMO it is much better than new one, you just feel like at home from the beginning with her. It is the best sounding 62 Precision example I've played, and with all that "mojo" real player too. Specs: Serial no. J012502 (means it is made in Japan, 1989-90) Alder body Maple neck with beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard Spiral saddle bridge Reversed tuners (same as on American vintage basses, I don't see them on MIJ basses often and) All original. At the moment, bass is equipped with harness and pickup from US American Vintage P-bass, but I will rebuild it back to original before shipping. £450 shipped from Czech republic to EU. Check my feedback here on Basschat. http://gdavidak.rajc...Precision_Bass/ Edited August 3, 2012 by davidak

GregBass Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Damn my kids and mortgage. If it wasn't for them, this would be mine
Jono Bolton Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Where do you keep producing these brilliant basses from? My favourite so far I think! Are the raindrops included in the price?
VSP grade. Which also suggests the pickups will be top of the range Alnicos in which case much better than the USA ones. Verrrrrry nice bass. I'm sorely tempted. AndyBob09 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Dammit! 'year of birth' bass for me. Too much GAS, so little money!
davidak Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 £500 shipped to UK. Q: Hi, is that glue on the side of the fingerboard in pic 4 ? No, it isn't, it is just old, degraded strip of finish lacquer, maybe from sweat, maybe because of little compress of rosewood during years. I bought it in this condition, it doesn't affect playability at all.
Fender_Greg Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I have a CIJ version of this, not keen on the bridge but once setup the bass is great! good luck with your sale!
davidak Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Finally not, buyer stopped to communicate. For sale again.
miles'tone Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Can't believe you're filpping that lovely bass all over a wet lawn. Put a sheet down or something!
Fuzzbass2000 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 A little too wide for me. Really regretting not buying the light blue 70s reissue P you had on here a short while back... definitely "one that got away". You haven't got another one of those kicking around do you ?
