squire Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) Hi there, I'm playing in two different bands. And I want to start using the same amp (Ampeg v4) for both bands. The only downside is that I have to move the Ampeg v4 twice a week by car to rehearsal. Will a Roqsolid cover be enough protective or should I get a hardshell case? I'm leaning towards the Roqsolid cover. Much more affordable and much less weight. What do you guys reckon? Edited July 8, 2012 by squire Quote
Lozz196 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I`ve had Roqsolid covers on my last, probably, 6 cabs, and they have always provided excellent protection. So long as the amp doesn`t have too much of an area to slide about in, the Roqsolid should be fine - and will certainly protect against rain etc when transporting from car to venue. Quote
drewk_ie Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 What did you run with in the end? I keep my V4 in a live in flightcase and so far ( fingers crossed) never have had any mishaps! I'd say if you're only moving it by car then the roqsolid case would be fine, but if it's with a gigging band with a van, then a flightcase is the way to go... Quote
