butlerk02
Afternoon all, I'm want to buy something from a guy in East Kilbride via Gumtree, but I'm having problems sorting out the logistics of the deal. He doesn't have a paypal account (and doesn't want one or anything similar), and he doesn't want to give me his bank details either for bank transfer (fair enough). Without travelling the 300 miles myself to go and collect it and paying cash, does anyone have any other suggestions? Normally i'd just sack it off and look elsewhere, but I really really want what he has. Cheers Keith Edited July 10, 2012 by butlerk02

You transfer them cash ( + a little beer money) and they send you the bass after collecting it off of him?
butlerk02
How does C.O.D work Bilbo? Collection from another basschatter would be cool also, beer money would be fine : ) Anyone near the East Kilbride area interested in doing a fellow basschatter a favour? Graham
Get your bank to raise a cheque (Nationwide charge £10.00 for this, not sure about others) and mail it to him?
LukeFRC
cheque in the post?
butlerk02
I think the last resort would be sending him a cheque. Was just hoping for something a little easier and quicker.

butlerk02
Basschat is amazing. Cameron has kindly offered to go and pick it up and post it back down to me. Three cheers for him, and thanks to everyone for their kind suggestions. Cheers Keith
uncle psychosis
Good stuff Basschat is awesome. For future reference, theres no way I'd ever send a postal order / bank transfer to some random on gumtree. I'm nervous enough about using those methods with people who I "know" through forums, never mind a total stranger!
