Hey guys n gals

Any suggestions for the best place to go, ideally looking to keep it relatively lightweight if poss, but looking at a full flightcase

Any and all assistance much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply mate, I appreciate that a flightcase will add considerably to the cab's overall weight, I'm just looking to keep that weight down as much as poss

I flightcase most things, but I'm not gonna bother with my barefaced, as weight and ease of transport are some of its benefits, I've just got a soft padded cover for mine.

If you do want it flightcased, I've got nothing but praise for castle cases, had an ampeg combo case made, and a flightcase for my matamp head, and always been impressed by their service and the flightcases.

I get my flightcases custom made at http://www.abscases.co.uk/ Fantastic quality - they'll see you right.

If others are regularly moving your gear then it's best to flightcase it.

No other protection works as well against some of these gorillas.

Thanks for the replies gents, have emailed the suggested companies for prices to save up for, and got a Roqsolid cover on order in the meantime. Me being me, I'd prefer to have both options just in case!

Have a good weekend!

I've got a Castle cases job - for a 1x15. Its really not that heavy on its own (plastic honeycomb sheet rather than all plywood), and with a BR cab inside its still probably lighter than a typical SWR/Eden etc etc without the road case. So I'd say its a good idea if a BF cab will be spending much time in a van, or out of your control. Roqsolid covers are great for general car use, but not enough in a van full of stuff.

Personally, if you have roadies and flight cases, I wouldn't be buying cabs based on weight. I'd just get an Aguilar DB412 and leave it at that haha!

Roqsolid covers here, I think you'd have to be pretty aggressive to damage the cab with one of those on. They're pretty strong, Alex threw a Compact from the first floor to see what would happen, it damaged a corner a bit but all still worked. Reckon yours will get that sort of treatment?

Nothing like a flightcase but the extra size and weight seems to detract from one of its main (for me) selling points.
