ash Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) Got this with a view to using the body for a project but its actually a nice bass in its own right. I was told it was made by a luthier but it looks like a parts bass to me put together by a luthier. Its solidly made and the body is quite heavy suggesting decent woods. Its shielded and has active pickups with a disconnected tone circuit ( possibly an easy fix). The neck feels nice rather more Precision bass than Jazz but fretting is good. It would make a nice cheap standby bass or something to modify. There is no back coverplate and there's a bit of gaffa over it at the moment. It has a really punchy sound. Edited July 18, 2012 by ash
ash Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 £75 gets you a great active bass, £90 posted in UK!
ash Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 The hardware is generic but good quality, the pickups have a sticker on the underside with the letters JBZ On them and a barcode, dunno the brand sorry
