Fender Jazz reissues - different years??

I've been looking around at getting a new bass, and am considering a vintage reissue Jazz. A few American dealers have the 62 reissue, which doesn't seem available here. I can only see the 64 reissue for sale in the UK?? Is the 62 an older version (err apart from two years :))
