Dood
Hi all!! As a local bass player in the region (as I know many of you are too) I often get asked if I know 'such-n-such' or if I know of any available bass players for a dep gig or stand-in locally. I get 'phone calls in to my Bass Tuition business asking lots of bass and band related questions too which is cool and I like to help. So, I thought it'd be cool to get a community page together for the East Anglian region. The reason being that should a dep gig come up, it'd be say, within an hours drive or so - or for example, buying and selling kit in the local area, it'd make it easier to travel to the destination. Anyway, I want this page to be used in conjunction with BassChat of course! Please do head on over - it doesn't matter if you aren't local to East Anglia, everyone is welcome! Dood
Thanks fella! - It's growing steadily since lunch time which is great to see. I'd invite anyone - whatever the instrument or location to get involved. Feel free to add me on FB too, that's cool! www.facebook.com/DoodOnBass
Silvia Bluejay
LOL it shows on my profile as "Silvia likes East Anglian Bass Players" and I almost immediately received the obligatory jokey quip by PM from one of my friends on FB - "Leaving London and moving to the countryside then?" Silvia Bluejay
No, Dan, it's nothing to do with you, the name is fine, it's my friends who spend far too much time on FB taking the p*ss instead of working Edited July 12, 2012 by bluejay

(What does your pseudo-OCD think of that number? )
Ha ha! It was a nice surpise when I logged on this morning! Not bad for less than a day. Makes me sure that the community page is a good idea!
Three of my Facebook friends have joined already before I even noticed this thread. And one's a drummer too!
Excellent! Yes, although it's called East Anglian Bass Players, the idea is that all musicians can be part of the page too. However, i know how difficult it is to find available bass players around here, what with all the grass down the middle of the roads and that all forms of transport in Norfolk have straw bails attached to the boot i jest of course! It's hopefully going to make finding band mates easier in this area. I'd like to get as many BassChatters involved because I think it could also help to direct traffic to BassChat thus widening the audience and community here too.
