dead pup?

seymour duncan antiquity straight out of the box and i'm getting nothing? my basic meter only goes 10-500 DC, and i get nothing on that either.

new pup? better meter? any suggestions?

That's too low to measure a pickup

Connect the pickup straight across the output socket and play through an amp (start the amp at zero volume just in case it's loud)

Gutted. Can you see the point where the wires join the pickup and if there's any damage there? Hope you can exchange for another one mate

bugga!!! i bought the pup form a BCer some time ago as new and i've only just connected it so dont know how i stand warrany/refund wise

I bought a brand new one from a well known seller and had the same problem, totally dead. I sent it back with no problems.

Places can repair pickups, think that is a quite fancy pickup that would be worth it over binning it.
