Last night I had a gig thrust upon me at the last minute, I had to give 4 people a lift now driving a Corsa I couldn't fit a proper sized bass in the car, as you may know I have just bought a shortscale for £41 which I have done up (thread here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/180690-mustangbronco-project/ )

Anyway I was astonished, it sounded great, £41 for a fully gigable bass, f*** me sideways, what a time for beginners.

Good un. Selfmade is always more rewarding.

I'm sure it is, I wouldn't go as far as to say I made it, I did it up but I don't anywhere near enough skill to make a bass.

Amazing, that bass cost less than my beginner bass did in 1980 - and back then, the one I bought was the cheapest around (£45). I bet yours plays & sounds better than mine did as well. As said, great time to be a beginner.

You've turned a savaged m***er into a very cool looking bass. Great vision and opportunity seizure.

The word m1nger seems to be censored because it contains the word m1nge
