garymilitia Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm just walking over Waterloo Bridge and one of my bands tracks started playing and it just made me think how much fun it is to play this track!! (also just how awesome this track is) Check it out if you like http://soundcloud.com/monkeymilitia/clarity-in-20-20 Quote
Bloc Riff Nut Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Nice track Garymilitia, shame I got images of Monty Python in my head. It was the 'bring out your dead' line. I like playing Anouk's 'Modern World'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDnKXqu0yRA Quote
mrtcat Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I just love AC/DC's whole lotta rosie and Motley Crue's Girls Girls Girls but my current favourite is Steel Panther's Asian Hooker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqngrRBIpkw Quote

Truckstop Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Yeah Whole Lotta Rosie's got some balls to it that's for sure! Also like Alex Harvey's Delilah, really fun! Truckstop Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I have been playing stealers wheel stuck in the middle with a dep gig I have for a few months, never played it before but it's a good one that goes down well. Quote
Yeah I've always liked that......never mastered playing and singing it at the same time though! Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I can't sing for toffee Mart so thats not a problem for me! Nice bass line though, plays nice across a five string too, I like the fill after the guitar solo even if I normally screw it up! Quote
3below Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Showing my age, Route 66, so simple, so powerful, is just a great song. Quote
TonyBones Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Love playing this live http://youtu.be/gclGfeOKBoc Quote
the_skezz Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) I loved playing the Clash's Career Opportunities in my old band. Fantastic bass. Edited July 16, 2012 by the_skezz Quote
lettsguitars Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 http://soundcloud.com/sttelnoj/drunken-day The title says it all. We had some right laughs in this band and this was the most fun song we ever wroted. Quote
sticker Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 "Soul Man" by Sam & Dave , always get's 'em up dancing and is great fun to play , for a slower number "...Grapevine" is always a treat to play . Quote
chrismuzz Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 With Malacite, it's Dust... lots of opportunity to throw the Low A in there And theres a little bit of tapping and a bass solo in there too! Plus the outro is just epic In the cover band I always get the biggest buzz out of playing the Metallica tunes (Master Of Puppets, Creeping Death). Playing Cliff Burton basslines takes me back to my teenage days! But I also love playing RATM - Killing In The Name... it always gets everyone dancing! Quote
paul_5 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Not been mentioned fora while, so here goes: "Moondance" (stands well back). Quote
pst62 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Back in the day it was Highway Song by Blackfoot. Quote
LiamPodmore Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) It's a competition between 3: One of my bands originals, called Lying Through My Teeth 'cause it's got a really fun chorus riff for me. Another original, called Never Get His Turn (But only when i've got the Line 6 with FBV, I'm allowed to make use of Fuzz, Enevelopes and Wahs to make some dirty dubstep sounds then) Carly Rae Jepson's Call Me Maybe, such a good song to play, just so fun. paul_5 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I used to enjoy "I Wish" and "Sir Duke", but not played them live for a good long while. Quote
