Hi,

I would like to record couple of tracks with my friends but unluckily my PC's microphone input socket is a gonner and my laptop doesn't have one at all.

So could you recommend me any solution? Are there any sort of mixers I can plug in to my USB?

It has to be as cheap as possible and it has to work witch an Apple Mac...

Help?

Hi, I have figured it out myself already.

The best way to do it is to get some sort of USB Audio interface that works with Mac. There are two of them that I looked at:

Griffin iMic (£20 range)

and

Line6 'something someting' GX (£70 range)

You basically plug that in to your USB and it gives you audio input and output via JACK. Then you basically plug a normal mixer to it and off you go.

I have ordered the iMic thingy and I will keep you post it how is it. I heard it's a bit noisy and easy to clip... We will see :)

Take care guys! :)
